GuaranteedVPS servers are in megaPOPs in Georgia and Minnesota. Both locations have 7 1-gigabit or better redundant backbones and multihoming onto dozens of networks. Both locations have standalone diesel generators and wartime fuel contracts. All servers run RAID-1 redundant drive pairs on all system and customer data, and all servers are backed up on a 24-hour cycle to another machine in the system. Customers are provided extra bandwidth for automated offsite backups to custom machines, if requested. Both locations provide three nines uptime guarantee.

The primary datacenter is in a revamped grocery warehouse. Walls are six feet thick and refrigeration insulated. Access to the building is through biometrics with scancard, then past an armed guard, then through another round of biometrics, then through a combination locked door and down to a padlocked cage. Several armed guards patrol the building. The site has four independant electrical feeds and five independant physical network trunks. We are still working on guard dogs which shoot bees from their mouths.

All current servers are Pentium 4 HT machines running at 3GHz or better. All current servers have at least 3 gig of RAM. No server is oversold; all servers are undersold by at least 8%. All current servers have at least a 10 megabit unmetered guaranteed master pipe. All VPS servers run OpenVZ virtualization. OpenVZ user guest VEs are Centos 4 unless otherwise requested.

All VPS server accounts provide minimums for all five major resources (bandwidth, CPU time, physical RAM, swap RAM, disk space.) All accounts provide maximums for RAM, swap and disk space. No current account limits bandwidth or CPU time; unused time is currently shared between clients. All minor resources have both minimums and maximums. All resource guarantees for both major and minor resources are written out in detail on the sales page for a given account type. The typical account represents 8-15% of resources the server on which it resides. All resource guarantees are within control-epsilon of 100%.
